Smoking Cessation

So how can you stay stopped?

There is a profound difference between a smoker that has stopped smoking and a non-smoker. The smoker courageously resists having a cigarette, while the non-smoker couldn't think of anything worse than smoking.

You've probably heard of those people who quit smoking 10 years ago and still say "Every time I have a beer I still want a cigarette" - if you are trying to stop smoking, that is a terrifying thing to hear!

What they simply mean? is that they only quit smoking at a conscious level - that is, they decided to stop, and stopped.
Unconsciously, smoking is still an attractive prospect for them.

If you're going to quit smoking, do the job right

There are a million and one ways to stop smoking... from nicotine patches and chewing gum to tablets, lozenges, inhalers and Zyban the stop smoking drug. In addition, there are plenty of people out there willing to tell you how to stop smoking - quit tips are everywhere.

But they all miss one vital component - the unconscious mind.

If you are going to make the effort to free yourself from the terrible effects of smoking, why not do it right? Use a proper smoking cessation program that will leave you free of the desire to smoke.

Nail Biting

"Will You Stop Biting Your Nails!"

Every kid has heard that at some time or another.

But it's just downright annoying when the habit goes on and on, regardless of the number of times you 'decide' to stop!
Without even noticing you're doing it, you absent mindedly chew those nails back into that ugly, painful condition again.

And that's the whole problem - the nail biting is 'unconscious' - you do it without even noticing. So when you make a 'conscious' decision to stop nail biting, nothing happens - the cure has to happen in a different way...

Excess Sweating

Excessive Sweating - A vicous circle

Excessive sweating (also known as hyperhidrosis) is an embarrassing problem, and can make life difficult. If you sweat excessively you will probably have worried about shaking hands with people, whether the place you are visiting is cool and ventilated, or choosing clothes that won't show sweat if it soaks through. Most sweating problems occur in the hands and armpits, but facial sweating can be the worst, as it is so visible.

Many people who sweat excessively end up avoiding all kinds of situations that they would otherwise enjoy, resulting in missed opportunities and reduced enjoyment of life in general.
We all naturally perspire as our bodies automatically regulate body temperature but sweating is also a symptom of anxiety. So of course the more anxious you become about sweating, the more likely you are to sweat!
This vicious circle can feel impossible to escape, but this is where hypnosis excels. Not only can hypnosis rapidly reduce anxiety, but it has been used for centuries to control bodily functions. You only have to see an operation performed under hypnosis to understand how effective it is for this purpose.

Weight Management

Think Thin - adopt the thought strategies of slim people

Have you ever noticed how some people can effortlessly and naturally have a tiny piece of cake, or one chocolate and then save the rest. How do they do that? Is it willpower or do they just think thin? You may feel that you could never learn to do this, but you can - and in a way that feels entirely natural and instinctive.

You may sometimes feel overwhelmed with the desire to eat food, you know is bad for you. The anticipation of the food is irresistible. You want to eat it cause it's all you want right now, as right now the food is all that matters. Naturally Slim people don't think like that. They are more likely to look at a cake and imagine how they'll feel after eating it, rather than how they feel during it.

Think thinking means you enjoy your food more because you make the decisons - not the addictive drive to eat.

Thinking thin will make you feel better about yourself, help weight loss and improve your physical and emotional health.

Hypnosis will allow you to naturally make the right eating choices.

Fear & Phobias

Fear and anxiety - ruins the lives of so many people. Of course there are situations when such emotions are entirely appropriate, but many people are plagued by fears not of real but of imaginary dangers and problems. They have fallen into the habit of negative imaginings that feel extreamly real and fear sets in.

It's good to know that you can easily overcome fears and phobias with hypnosis, because such anxieties are extremely common. More than 10% of people will experience a simple phobia at some time in their lives. From elevators, spiders and birds, to heights, dentists and open spaces, there is nothing we can't develop anxiety or phobias about.

But you're not doomed to be stuck with them forever.

Happily, hypnosis provides an extremely effective cure for these problems as it provides the opposite of anxiety - deep relaxation. At the same time, it teaches the mind a different way of responding to the feared object or situation. Hypnosis for phobias works by detaching the stimulus (trigger object) from the emotional response (fear) and 'updating' the brain with a new, more realistic response. I'm trained in a technique called the Rewind Technique. It's a very affective way for the mind to re-process fear, anxiety, phobia and PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder)

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Depression, anxiety conditions, obsessive thoughts, OCD, addictions and substance abuse - all these problems and more are often 'powered' by hidden trauma. (PTSD)

A rise in anxiety levels, constant fearful thoughts, sweaty palms, rappid breathing and an inability to relax. Feelings of often being overwhelmed by worry and anxiety, even when there is no major cause for concern in your life?

The constant state of Red Alert!

Traumatic memory can easily be trapped in the short term memory of the cortex of the brain -  And can result in anxiety conditions such as Panic Attacks, Depression, Obessive Thoughts, OCD and Addiction and Aubstance Abuse.

A classic induction is used in Hypnosis to help dissociate from the state and associate with the imagined state of another is a powerful and effective way to become deeply relaxed and inwardly focused.

By using effective Clinical Hypnotherapy Techniques for modifying the experience and the interpretations of the experience in a beneficial way, releases the trapped memory from the short term into the long term memory.  Deeply embeding a new relaxed process of relating to worrying thoughts or events, so that a calm and appropriate respond is the result, to whatever life brings without unnecessary fear or stress.

Depression

Many people think of depression as an illness that you catch, like a virus, or a bacterial infection, which you must then treat with medication and hope to get better quickly when the medication takes effect.

But depression, even though it feels as if it has landed on you from 'out there', is a psychological response to the challenges of life. It may result from life traumas like bereavement, illness, divorce, job loss etc, or may gradually develop out of a series of accumulated difficulties in relationships or other setbacks.

With Hypnosis and the tools to understand how depression works, and what exactly can be done to make a difference. Hypnosis Depression address many different aspects of depression and gives a range of specific strategies to use to help recover quickly.
